While we believe in keeping this site free for your personal, individual use, we need to remind you that all of the patterns and articles you find here on our site are the property of the designers and/or authors who created them. This being such, these patterns and articles cannot be reproduced, except for one copy for an individual's personal use. Stores may not sell these patterns or give them away free to customers.

You are not allowed, in any way, shape or form, to print or distribute patterns from For the Love of Yarn and sell them without the designer's permission. You are also not allowed to sell any items made from the free patterns found on For the Love of Yarn without the express written permission of the individual designer. If you do any of this without permission from the designers/authors, you are breaking the law.

Remember, the copyright for each pattern and article posted on our site belongs to the individual designer or author, and any usage beyond what's mentioned here must be negotiated directly with the designer or author. It’s better to ask for permission then break the law.

If you should ever see evidence of a violation of copyright from the patterns and/or articles on our site, please contact the designer/author directly. Please respect the designers and authors whose work you see in this magazine. Violations of copyright are illegal and each designer has the authority to pursue violators to the full extent of the law.

For the Love of Yarn may ask you for personal information for a number of reasons. We will make sure that each time we make such a request, we post a statement of the reason for collecting such information.

If you have signed up for any one of our newsletters we assure you that all information collected will be kept confidential and will be used only for notification and statistical purposes by the staff of For the Love of Yarn. Your information from the newsletter signups will never be shared with any third party without your express permission.

From time to time we hope to have contests sponsored by yarn companies and yarn stores. If you would like to participate in these contests you will be asked to share your information each time you enter a contest. This information will be shared with the sponsoring company or companies, and it will be expressly noted on each contest page. Please do not sign up for the contests if you do not want your information shared.
