We the staff of For the Love of Yarn are a totally yarn loving group! We knit, we crochet, and we buy lots and lots of yarn. Some of us are in it for the craft, others for the skill and pure relaxation, but our webmaster says he’s in it for the knit sweaters and hats he gets from time to time.

We eat, sleep and breathe yarn! And our homes are overflowing with yarn. From time to time, we’ve even been known to save our lunch money just to spend it on yarn! We read books about yarn and several of our cars even have balls of yarn hiding in them (a crochet hook and knitting needle as well). Our spouses, well they don’t love yarn as much as we do, but they sure do love the finished products.

We work with an advisory panel of knitters and crocheters from around the country to point us in the right direction. We are so excited to bring this new site to you and we hope that you are excited too!

We’ve said before that we know there are other online knitting magazines and crocheting magazines out there. You love them...we do too! We are not looking to replace those magazines for you, we are just looking to continue to move our favorite crafts forward! No one has combined knitting and crocheting in one place so we figured it was time! We want to give more designers a place to showcase their work and an avenue for all of us yarn lovers to not be alone.

Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when our first issue will be published (hint, think April). Send your original design to be published for everyone to see. And please be patient, we won’t have everything working right away and we know there will be kinks to work out - but with a little hope and a lot of yarn, we’ll have this magazine soaring in no time!
